Sign-Up
To register for TravelersMateOnline simply fill in the required fields. The more detail you provide the better. Private data such as your address, phone number and email will NOT be displayed in your public profile. This information is strictly confidential and will NEVER be disclosed to any third party. After signing up you may view your profile by clicking on "My Account".
My Account
Clicking on the "Update" tab allows you to change information in your profile. You will also be allowed to add or change your "Interests" as well as add, change or delete your picture. If your picture is rejected it's probably due to its size. Unusually large pictures will be rejected. Billing information will be added at some future date at which time you will be able to view all account and subscription activity. Since TravelersMateOnline is currently a free service, this information will be provided when the site becomes a fee-for-service site.
My Mailbox
This provides you a log of all messages you sent and received. Messages will remain until you delete them.
Subscriber Search
One of the premier features of TravelersMateOnline is its unique capability to search our database for travelers as close to you as your hotel. You can fill in as few as one of the fields or all of them. The simple rule is that the more fields you fill in the more specific and detailed your search will be. If you only fill in "screen name", for example, you will locate the subscriber with the associated screen name that may or may not be in your city at the time you do your search. Adding additional information such as hotel, city, state etc. will allow you to search for subscribers who are in YOUR city, state and hotel during the time period you entered into the search criteria.
The "dates" section of the search capability is very important! Our search capability will search for subscribers based on the dates you entered in this field. If another subscriber is in your city, state or hotel during ANY of the dates you entered in this field, TravelersMateOnline will locate them. To send a message, click the "Click Here" link shown below. Your message will be sent to the subscriber.
Once the end date of your travel has been reached, you will be removed from the active traveler database until you enter a new set of dates corresponding with your travel.
